In honor of the singer’s 10th anniversary of her debut on the Billboard Hot 100 with her single, “Tim McGraw" in 2006, see her changing style.

Taylor Swift released her debut single, “Tim McGraw", reaching No. 6 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. At the 41st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, Swift wears an informal halter dress with copper cowboy boots. Looking young and unrefined, Swift enters into the limelight as a country darling.

CMA Awards, 2006

Swift’s initial capricious look turns vampy. Matched with her porcelain skin and ringlets, the Elvira gown and gloves are out of place.

Swift shifts from a red-carpet vamp to an aquatic princess cloaked in too much satin. The seafoam gown is better for her coloring than black but still a bit like playing dress-up.

At the Grammys, Swift looks like a bouquet of violets.

Looking more grown-up and conscious of her clothing, Swift arrives wearing a golden chain-link gradient gown.

This maxidress epitomizes Taylor’s more contemporary style — blingy yet simple yet elegant. Combined with upswept hair, this is a mature look for Swift.

Taylor’s choice of clothes for MTV’s TRL is an unfortunate hodge-podge of metallics and socks. The heel/sock look is occasionally acceptable but certainly not with jeans and a sequined tank-top.

This peacock pallet skirt by French Connection works well with the black turtleneck. The tights clash with the energetic pattern on the skirt, but overall this is a youthful and appropriate winter look for Swift.

Swift combines the satin princess with the violet bouquet for her performance, making her look a bit like an opera star.

At the same awards show, Swift dazzles in a sequin and crystal Kaufman Franco gown, with Christian Louboutin shoes and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz

Revisiting the metallics, Swift arrives in a Collette Dinnigan cocktail dress, shoes by Christian Louboutin and jewelry by Neil Lane.

Opting for another Collette Dinnigan dress at the Clive Davis party, Swift introduces a fresh take on the sparkly mini. This cartographic piece has a classy almond cutout elegantly accentuated by her hair.

Swift looks beautiful in red. This geometric gown combined with red lips and white clutch is a perfect choice. Sadly, the backdrop for the outfit clashes with the look.

Looking adorable for Spring, Swift pairs a light sweater with a pleated skirt in New York City.

Bringing her bling to the stage, Swift wears a beaded flapper dress with tall black boots during the 17th Annual Country Thunder USA music festival.

At the epic awards (think Kanye) Swift opts once again for a Kaufman Franco sparkling gown. A constellation meets a toga in this one-shouldered number.

Swift’s daywear is equally as fitting as her red carpet choices. Wearing a cherry-red knitted cap with a black-and-blue jeans and tee outfit, it works perfectly for a fall stroll.

Taylor chooses a Reem Acra gown. Although reminiscent of Kaufman Franco, the dress is a more refined fit for Swift.

Swift wears a mature off-the-shoulder Kaufman Franco dress with an interesting neckline and peep-hole.

This maroon John Galiano bustier dress is a fun break from Swift’s usual embellished gowns. Swift straightens her iconic locks.

Swift strips down during a performance of her song “Mean." Taking off jewels and shoes, Swift wears a cream, gauzy dress during her controversial performance.

Taylor takes her love of layered skirts and tights to a gothy level by mixing a pirate blouse with knee-high combat boots.

Wearing Roberto Cavalli at the designer’s 40th Anniversary party, Swift plays with a sexier look than we have seen in the past. A tighter and shorter LBD works well with bright red lips and strappy heels.

Taylor Swift looks feminine and fun in a yellow A-line dress, loose curls and simple red heels outside of NYC’s Ed Sullivan Theater for the Late Show With David Letterman in 2010.

In her most glamorous look yet, Swift arrives in Nashville wearing a bright red, floor-length gown with a sweetheart neckline and sexy thigh-high slit. She let the dress shine with simple strappy heels, nude makeup and a basic updo

Swift stunned in an all-black menswear look pairing patent leather oxfords with tight black jeans, a glittering blazer and….her now-infamous blonde bangs.

The black lace neckline of Swift’s dress looks like she’s headed to a funeral, but the sequined hem has her ready to party — it was a bit of a mismatch, but we won’t hold it against her.

Swift showed off a lot of skin in her strapless gold mini-dress and dives headfirst into the golden theme — pairing her blonde curls with gold jewelry, a bejeweled golden dress and even gold accessories.

Taylor Swift wore J. Mendel couture honoring Alexander McQueen. The gown’s skin-tight nude bodice is accented with black lace and a subtle, layered mermaid skirt that trailed behind the pop star.

The country star took a cue from the roaring ’20s in her flapper-inspired costumes. The beaded fringe of Swift’s dress faded in an ombre style from bronze to gold, falling just above her black leather boots.

Swift channels Marilyn Monroe in a white halter dress with a full A-line skirt, blinged-out belt and long blonde ponytail.

Her simple side ponytail was casual but her glittering gold gown screamed glamourous as Swift walked the red carpet.

Swift is princess-like at in a white and blue dress with a printed bodice and long taffeta skirt. Is it just us or does she look like she’s floating?

Swift kept it casual at Sundance’s Ethel premiere, bundling up but still looking stylish in an oversized off-white coat, brown winter hat and multi-textured boots.

Swift continued to rock her signature golden goddess look, this time with a bit of modern edge in her elaborate Zuhair Murad gown. The country princess accessorized the look with Prada shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Once known for her blonde curls, Swift’s ‘do is almost always straight these days, and she paired her golden locks with a lacy red gown with trailing skirt and dark manicure.

Swift rocked two very different looks — first walking the carpet in a sleek white suit and statement heels, then taking the stage in a red-and-white top, black shorts and red kicks.

Swift performed in a sequined nude shirt, high-waisted and glittering black shorts, and a fun bowler hat.

Taylor Swift stopped by, sitting front row at Elie Saab’s spring/summer 2013 show in a pale blue Saab dress with a pleated skirt and taupe heels.

On the red carpet, Taylor Swift looked both sophisticated and stunning in a backless plum colored Donna Karan fishtail bottom gown with strategically placed sheer strips on her hips. The country songstress looked ravishing in this risque piece with her hair swept back.

Swift looked effortless and breezy in a crisp white J. Mendel dress with a high front slit and plunging neckline.

Grammy Awards, 2013

Later in the night, Taylor kept with the white theme for her Grammys performance. On stage she was a bit less Grecian goddess, a little more ring-leader-marching-band chic.

Back to her glittery red-carpet style, Taylor Swift matched the blue carpet in a Zuhair Murad mini dress.

For the performance, however, Taylor regressed back to a very young look: She stepped out onstage in a blue sparkly unicorn printed t-shirt, glittering nautical shorts and colorful sneakers.

Taylor sexed it up a bit at the VMAs. For the awards show, Swift walked the carpet in a curve-hugging body con Herve Leger dress with a plunging neckline.

American Music Awards, 2013

Not one to stray too far from a sequined minidress and stilettos, Taylor Swift rocks her trademark look.

On the VS runway, Taylor blended right in with the models. Sporting (another) glittering minidress, the 5’10″ singer strutted up and down the catwalk with new best friend Karlie Kloss like she, too, was one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels.

Welcome to high fashion, Taylor! For the red carpet, the singer rocked a Gucci Premiere gown.

It seems to be the year Taylor let go of all the glitter and sequins and started to embrace the crop top. At that year’s Academy of Country Music Awards, Taylor opted for a trendy black and white two-piece look from J. Mendel.

When Taylor moved to New York, we started getting a peek at what the singer wears every day — not just on the red carpet. Taylor styled a basic striped top and colored jeans perfectly for this outing.

Making a grand entrance on the steps of the Met, Taylor Swift wore a soft peach Oscar de la Renta gown for the grand event.

Never compromised by a heat wave, Swift steps out in the East Village in a breezy crop top and skirt with matching pink lipstick.

Swift is seen walking in the Big Apple in a Reformation skirt and crop top after returning from her New England Fourth of July weekend.

Since moving to New York, Taylor Swift has become a bit of a street style icon. So effortless, so cool  and so trendy in every single crop top as she leaves the gym, gets coffee with supermodels, or just pops into a bookstore looking 10 times better than anyone around her.

Taylor ditched the crop tops she’d be wearing all summer for a legless Mary Katrantzou jumpsuit.

At the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, Taylor Swift stunned in a lace, lingerie-inspired two piece.

Unlike her past teal dress (see: 2007), this Elie Saab gown is ultra-ladylike while still staying sexy.

In a gorgeous, tight black crop top and an a-line purple flare skirt, Taylor’s two-piece game is on point.

At the BBMAs (where, Taylor and ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris first stepped out), the full-fledged pop singer sported a flared white, low-cut jumpsuit with sexy side cut-outs and a brand-new, bob ‘do.

Taylor and Selena Gomez, the two best friends anyone could ask for, were dressed perfectly in tandem.

Taylor’s known for sequins and two pieces, so why not combine them for the best VMAs outfit ever? This was a classic, especially since in this outfit she threw some shade at longtime frenemy Kanye West.

A slight departure from the two piece, coordinated ensembles of 2015, T-Swift rocks a Vegas-style jumpsuit with fringe and, of course, sequins!

Stepping out in an Atelier Versace coral-and-fuchsia two-piece hearkened back to the singer’s ball gown days, except with a sexy twist: The skirt piece opened to reveal a matching, leotard-style bottom.

And last, but certainly not least, Taylor arrives fresh off Coachella still rocking her now famous #Bleachella hair, adding to the drama in a pseudo-samurai-meets-moto chick number with high, wrap suede heels to boot.
